Historical Note: E. H. Jennings (1875-1953) was a student at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary during the 1905-1906 academic year.  After leaving the seminary he held pastorates in Lawrenceville, Norcross, and Collins Hill in Georgia from 1907-1909.  He then served as pastor in Greenesboro, Georgia during the years 1909-1911.  He spent 1911-1916 at First Baptist Church in Dothan, Alabama followed by a pastorate at Baptist Tabernacle (later named Prince Avenue), in Athens, Georgia from 1916-1922.  His longest pastorate was in Brandenton, Florida between the years of 1922 and 1942.  After his tenure at First Baptist Brandenton he preached at First Baptist Hephzibah and Wrens in Georgia from 1944 until his retirement in 1947.
