Scope and Contents: The Harold Wayland Tribble Papers consist of 1.0 cubic foot of sermons, lecture notes, essays, correspondence, clippings, and other personal papers. These papers primarily document Tribble's work as a preacher and theology professor at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Series 1 consists primarily of sermons and lectures prepared by Tribble, but also contains notes taken from lectures delivered by E. Y. Mullins. Series 2 includes essays written by Tribble, as well as, papers prepared by his students. Series 3 and 4 document other issues associated with Tribble's personal and professional life and include correspondence, poems, photographs, and clippings.
