Historical Note:

Findley B. Edge (1916-2002) was the Basil Manly Jr. professor of Christian education at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he taught from 1947 to 1984. He also served as senior professor of Christian education from 1984 to 1987. The author of several important books in the area of Christian education, Edge was most well known for "Teaching for Results" and "The Quest for Vitality in Religion."
